The deep grey days of winter
I’m starting to dream of Spring. I have a cotton cady confection of silk and mohair on the needles, an old friend from blogging days Stephanie Gies posted a fluffy pile of yarn and I fell down the rabbit hole of a Danish Designer Arnhild Skatvedt who then posted the Tara in the frothy pink concoction and boom, off to the yarn I clicked. The yarn came so quickly, it beat the needles for my Bohaus in the post and went straight onto the needles. Fancy Bohaus kit be damned. Soon my pretty.
We’ve started talking about knocking the shed down in the backyard…again. This has been a topic of conversation in the house since I bought the place in 2007. I’ve honestly just been waiting for a storm to take the thing down but Dustin has purchased a replacement and is plotting against it. So of course, I’ve decided this is the summer that I want to garden. In cattle troughs. Makes perfect sense in my head but the boys don’t seem to be inclined to go down this road with me. The goal is 3 beds this year, one herbs, one flowers, and one for vegtables. I have dreams of a greenhouse and a potting shed and well, let’s see where this goes.
