It Begins

It Begins with an idea and words written down.

Oh boy. This is going back to my roots. Many many moons ago I had a small little knitting blog in the heyday of blogging. Then I moved from the North Country to Buffalo and my life changed, a lot. Now I own a ancient tiny house, have an amazing partner, and most importantly, a wild ride in the form of a 2 year old.

I’ve been a project manager for the last 12 years and have worked all over the US and Canada for some pretty large clients like HSBC, Xerox, Royal Bank of Canada. Now I’m staying closer to home and have a role at a MillerKnoll dealership here in Buffalo. I’m surrounded by unique and beautiful design and see some of the most amazing buildings and spaces that WNY has to offer. As much as I can share I will.

I’m looking to bring creativity back into my life and document it. This is the start and I hope we all enjoy the ride.

What I’m knitting - I have 2 socks going, the one in my work bag is Retro Rib in some weird German Yarn I bought 100 years ago that is comprised of 4 threads. The second is a cheerful rainbow colorway from Urth Yarn Uneek Sock that I picked up in Montreal on a work trip.

What I’m Reading - Mrs Quinn’s Rise to Fame

What I’m Drinking - I’m on a bit of a sober kick right now, trying to lose weight and honestly trying to toddler wrangle with a hangover (which I now get after that 2nd glass of wine, thanks mid 40’s) is not my jam. I have been enjoying a number of cannabis infused drinks. These give that happy hour feeling without the scaries. Aryloom Honeycrisp in the 1.5 mg strength has been my drink of choice this week. I’m waiting for UPS to cough up a shipment of Curious Elixers that have been bouncing around their distribution center for the last week.
